We all know BECK is inventive, creative & generally lovely so much so that critics & his fans find him almost impossible to categorize. Included in each CD is a sticker booklet one could use to create their own psychedelic collage. In addition to DIY artwork, there is a bonus DVD with a short film for each song. This being a Nigel Godrich collaboration you know it's going to sound divine. Godrich has worked with the likes of RADIOHEAD, PAUL MCCARTNEY, & STEVEN MALKMUS. There are so many genres covered here that the first few listens may seem daunting. There are elements of funk, indie rock, electro & (& what seems to be BECK's most straight forward attempt at) hip-hop. This is a swelling musical adventure. If you are a fan of his albums "Odelay" or "Guero" but were wondering what they might sound like under the meticulous eye of Mr. Godrich then you must get this. This is the Deluxe Version with the original CD/DVD plus 3 bonus songs, 6 remixes, 4 stickers sheets, & videos by MICHEL GONDRY & PATRICK DAUGHTERS.
