The talented Japanese band KIKAGAKU MOYO return with the 2018 album "Masana Temples." Those of you that have been lucky enough to see these guys know that they totally rip live but their albums tend to me more restrained & folk influenced. That's not to say that there aren't heavy moments, but this record has more quiet passages than rocking ones. The influence of 70s & 80s folk rock is apparent here with hints of legendary bands such as HAPPY END & others that the Pony Canyon label has been reissuing lately & also featured on the fantastic compilation "Even a Tree Can Shed Tears." Fans of bands such as DUNGEN & GOAT will also appreciate this psychedelic journey. RECOMMENDED.
