WOLF PARADE
APOLOGIES TO THE QUEEN MARY
Sub Pop
If Arcade Fire were Quebec's Beatles, Wolf Parade would be the Rolling Stones. So please, sit down & meet MOn- treal's newest hit makers. Of course there's no escap- ing comparison to Arcade Fire, but the music of Wolf Parade contains much more grit & raw emotion. The over- driven straight-forward drumbeats, heavy keyboard riffs, aggressive guitar sound & a Frank Black howl we haven't heard since Modest Mouse's The Moon & Antarctica make this a record to be reckoned with in 2005. On top of that, most of the tracks were produced by Sub Pop A&R man & Modest Mouse lead vocalist Isaac Brock. It's no wonder that this record is FORTEMENT RECOMMANDE!
