This is the new record by KOOL KEITH & KUT MASTER KURT in which Keith destroys the DR. OCTAGON identity right off the bat. What follows is stripped down, minimal beats with more of Keith's hyper-intelligent, sociopathic, rap-mockery rhymes. Production-wise, this album is more along the lines of SEX STYLE. They started out as a punk band but veered harder into metallic territory here. This time around KOOL KEITH is doing his thang as BLACK ELVIS, and it is probably his best work to date...Smoother than DOCTOR DOOM & more clever than DR OCTAGON, this record has a little bit of everything....The programming on this record is straight to the muthaf*ckin' point...If it feels good just do it! Kool Keith has been silent for awhile now, & he's back in 2006 with a new alter-ego MR. NOGATCO (that's OCTAGON spelled backward code breakers...). The concept behind this record kinda sounds like a Phillip K. Dick story which is cool with us. Mr. Nogatco is a character that is investigating alien life on Earth but the catch is that he might be an alien himself!?! With production help from IZ-REAL who you might recognize from the excellent "Venomous Villain" record, this recalls KING GEEDORAH & a lot of the other comic book themed MF DOOM stuff. A nice return to form for Mr. Keith.
