If you've ever had a chance to listen to Dibia$e one of the first things you notice is the vocal samples he chooses. Little pieces of historical ephemera interspersed in the groovy chopped up beats that make your neck snap. It's a beat head's joy to hear the way these 8-bit sounds are arranged & the way each track tells a story.

Reckless favorite FIRE-TOOLZ continues to develop her idiosyncratic sound on "Rainbow Bridge", fusing jazzy vaporwave with metalcore into carefully designed sound collages. It's a method that works in spite of its lack of obvious accessibility - make no mistake, this is intensely challenging music, but there's a beauty to the almost mathematical approach Angel Marcloid uses to balance and counter the sounds here: video-game synths, black metal shrieks, metalcore blast beats and crushing industrial soundscapes. "Rainbow Bridge" pushes against the boundaries of what's possible in extreme music, and in turn encapsulates that feverish blend of experiences and influences unique to music makers in the age of the internet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

First of all, THIS IS BASICALLY A NOISE RECORD! Not punk or hardcore or metal! This is the final, five-song collaboration between FULL OF HELL & MERZBOW, but this one is fully on MERZBOW's side of the fence, unlike their self-titled LP that was a grindcore assault. Perfectly disturbing noise with rhythm here & there.

"Blue Island" is the third album from Chicago synth-pop group GOLDEN BIRTHDAY. "Blue Island" is a beautiful collection of lo-fi new wave that reminds us of NEW ORDER, "Disintegration" era CURE & even some U2 at times believe it or not. This is great.
