70's psychedelic rarity reissued!! NIRVANA had great tunes that sort of marry KINKS/BEATLES melodies with string laden prog arrangements.

Solo project of Campbell Kneale of BIRCHVILLE CAT MOTEL & 1/2 of BLACK BONED ANGEL. The forementioned bands are definitely references as well as VIBRACATHEDRAL ORCHESTRA. Longform noise jams with repetitive percussion.

Double albums are usually the black cat of the Rap world, and when OUTKAST said "our next album is going to be a double--one per member" there was a touch of hesitation on our part to be excited. It fucked the WU, it's fucked 2-PAC constantly, and BIGGIE only got away with it cuz he was shot a week before it came out...Thankfully, OUTKAST have pulled it off. This album, is so ahead of its time that it might not even be hip-hop. So, is it post-hop? No, but its something that will not be matched for a long long time. A blend of rock, funk, horns, rap, soul, etc. makes for some of the most tripped-out, futuristic black music since GEORGE CLINTON hopped out the Mothership. This raises the bar...everyone should stop now. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This is the fifth proper PERNICE BROTHERS record & the tenth (!!!) for Joe Pernice himself. Pernice delivers another solid record of country-tinged rock with ele- ments of West Coast 60's pop ala THE BYRDS & even some 80's sounding college rock like THE FEELIES & REM.
