Reckless Records is a group of three record stores in Chicago IL. We carry new & used CDs, DVDs games and loads of Vinyl. Originally started in London, our first Chicago location opened in 1989. (LPs & 7"s). We would love to have you visit us in person. We are always looking to buy your unwanted CDs, DVDs, and vinyl. Please get in touch if you are interested in selling your collections. If any of you had concerns about what Mark Ronson's influence on a QOTSA record might be like, we're here to tell you to stop worrying. Sure, "Villains" sounds pretty damn slick but the swagger & attitude isn't lost one bit. In some ways, this is actually a somewhat logical progression for these guys. There are some great tones on here, especially the guitars which sound weird (in a good way) a lot of the times. This has a 70's, big studio sound to it, i.e. it sounds like it cost a lot of money to make & we'd imagine that it did. Fans of Josh & the band are gonna be psyched on this. Of course there's no escap- ing comparison to Arcade Fire, but the music of Wolf Parade contains much more grit & raw emotion.
