COMMON
THISISME THEN: BEST OF COMMON (EXPLICIT)
RELATIVIT
Great collection of COMMON's best, but only from his first three records, "Can I Borrow a Dollar?," "Resurrection," & "One Day It'll All Make Sense." These are classic COMMON jams, and there's a bunch of Chicago references, to boot. These tracks aren't as polished as his later releases like "Be" or "Like Water for Chocolate," but the beats and lyrics are there, and that's all you need for a great hip-hop record. Get this!!!

CONNELLY, CHRIS
HOW THIS ENDS
LENS
HOW THIS ENDS is the 12th solo album from industrial icon, writer and performer, CHRIS CONNELLY. This album picks up where 2008's FORGIVENESS AND EXILE left off. This is one of the most extreme album's in CONNELLY's canon, yet still retains a fragile beauty amidst the hellish vortex of noise. These two long tone poems are aided by the talents of a diverse cast including Tania Bowers (VIA TANIA), Izi Coonagh (SUGAR BULLET), Jim Magas (MAGAS), Gordon Sharp (CINDYTALK), Zak Boerger (THESE WONDERFUL EVILS), Bill Rieflin (SWANS), Brent Gutzeit (TV POW), Sanford Parker (MINSK, HIGH CONFESSIONS) and David Levine (MUCCA PAZZA). EXCELLENT!

DE SOUZA, INDIGO
ALL OF THIS WILL END
Saddle Creek
North Carolina-based singer-songwriter INDIGO DE SOUZA continues to build upon her successes for her third record, emerging from the deep existentially adrift feelings of her previous two albums for something more triumphant. DE SOUZA's vocals remain expressive and visceral, and the styles still run the gamut of dancey R&B, searing guitar anthems and open-hearted ballads, but "All of This Will End" lands these on a feeling of peaceful acceptance and an infectious joie de vivre. Fans of SNAIL MAIL, SOCCER MOMMY and PHOEBE BRIDGERS will find lots to love. RECOMMENDED.
