Fourth album from Chapel Hill's ROSEBUDS. These have done a good job of varying their style on each of their records & this one seems to be a combination of their previous three albums into one. Focusing on simple pop song structure with new-wave elements including simple keyboard leads, reverb drenched vocals & ethereal male/female backing vocals, ROSEBUDS have managed to channel bands such as YO LA TENGO, ELECTRELANE, INTERPOL & THE SHINS while still remaining true to themselves.

Second full-length collaboration between producer/MC EL-P & (just) MC KILLER MIKE. These guys have become fast friends & working partners since EL-P produced MIKE's 2012 insta-classic "RAP Music," & this group is more than just two guys rapping. Their persona as a group is a larger-than-life version of themselves, balancing playfulness & immaturity with serious topics & unprecedented freshness. Every one of these songs is locked in, production-wise, from bangers (of which there are plenty) to their "breather" tracks, all fine-tuned by EL-P. TOTALLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
