BRYAN FERRY in the mid to late '70's when ROXY were on sabatical, he released some great records that are probably little more than vanity projects, but what fantastic vanity projects! always with great bands (many times just ROXY MUSIC augmented by the ever splendid guitarist CHRIS SPEDDING) "the bride Stripped bare" came out to a lukewarm reception in 1978 in the wake of punk, however FERRY'S style certainly helped to spawn the new romantic movement, this album showcases a number of covers including a great version of the Velvet Underground's "what goes on" and the brilliant Ferry original "when she walks in the room" about his recent split with Jerry Hall..
