POEM 1 is the 2nd album on Kranky from the LA based musician Ana Roxanne. Her voice is confident & front & center on this one with fantastic harmonies at times that remind us of Mimi of LOW (RIP) & the more atmospheric WEYES BLOOD songs & wonderful 4AD singer Lucinda Chua. There are some rich synth textures that almost reach Badalamenti territory without going entirely "Peaks-y." BEAUTIFUL.
