I know CG might have turned you off by getting his name from the WU TANG name generator; or you think these CG projecs are just jokes for DONALD GLOVER, but while there are still some groan-worthy punchlines, what will surprise you is the musicality, & adventurousness of this record. It takes a little bit from the other big records of the day (CHANNEL ORANGE, YEEZUS, NOTHING WAS THE SAME) & synthesizes them into something that comes so completely outta left field compared to what has come before. This record takes the box we put CG in and instead of trying to wreck it, expands on it... If you like this new strand of rappers who combine singin' with their rappin' like DRAKE & CHANCE or R&B guys like FRANK OCEAN, you will be impressed with this... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

At 9 songs and 20 minutes this new 2024 record by Cincinnati punks CHONCY sits in that sweet spot between a record and an EP which more and more bands are going for. The chaotic energy and spiky guitars and lyrics honed-in on "profit margins, budget cuts, and man-made horrors beyond your comprehension" will appeal to fans of the post-punk bands taking our fair city by storm e.g. STUCK & (Choncy associates) CEL RAY. Cincinnati's punk scene seems to be really popping off right now and this is a great example of why. Hell, maybe next they'll bring Rake's End back. A man can dream. On Feel It, and "the nice price"!
