The title of Fiona Apple's first album in seven years is a wordy mouthful placed below a complex line drawing by Apple herself. On first listen, the songs might seem sparse but after you allow yourself to be swallowed up by the album, you'll quickly realize that sparseness is only smoke & mirrors for an overall complex & dense album. Major labels aren't exactly known for releasing complex, artistic albums save maybe RADIOHEAD or P.J. Harvey, but "Idler Wheel..." is easily one of the most interesting albums that will come out on a major label in 2012. Fans of everything from P.J. Harvey to Joanna Newsom to Laurel Canyon legends like Joni Mitchell & Judee Sill should really try this out. An impressive work for sure.

The highly anticipated sophomore album from the Sheffield, England group ARCTIC MONKEYS should dispel any questions of a 'sophomore slump.' The album starts off with the high energy single "Brianstorm" & never really stops rocking out.
