Punkers BRAND NEW have come into their own. Rather than try to ride the FALL OUT BOY emo-pop trend, they've branched out and created a rock sound all their own. Deeply introspective, BRAND NEW are well on their way to carving their own niche in rock history.

BrBa is so visually stunning and Shakespearean in the depth of its drama that it is easy to forget that it is full of thrilling violence all the time. I like to call BRYAN CRANSTON's hat "Hatzenberg." For those of you who have seen it already, let me also add: Tuco. This show is peerless. Not for the easily upset. Awesome.

Reckless loves THE BREEDERS. Chicago is definitely a second home for them & they've stopped in the shop a number of times while recording with Steve Albini & they played at our old Wicker Park location for Record Store Day back in 2014 which was one of the best things that's ever happened in one of our shops. We couldn't have been happier when we heard that a new record was coming & even better, a new record with the same line-up as the 90's alt-rock classic "Last Splash." Kim, Kelley & the band still sound great & all of the lovable characteristics that make THE BREEDERS one of America's best bands are still there. WELCOME BACK BREEDERS! RECOMMENDED OF COURSE.

Richard Buckner returns with his eighth album in 2006. If Buckner's music is country rock then it's country rock more in the style of Mark Kozelek's RED HOUSE PAINTERS or SUN KIL MOON. Buckner gets some help from ex-members of GUIDED BY VOICES, MEKONS & WACO BROTHERS.
