Kool Keith returns once again, with his long-missed DR. OCTAGON alias. Brilliant, surreal delivery dominate the proceedings, produced by One Watt Sun. Some heads may lament the loss of Automator, but One Watt Sun's production is excellent and fills the shoes quite nicely. Guest appearance from Princess Superstar. RECOMMENDED!!!

YMCMB stalwart, OCTOBER'S OWN DRAKE is back with another album of everyman rhymes combined with sweet crooning R&B. DRAKE is at the top of the game & very likely at the top of his own game as a writer which is where he most shines. His ear is still top notch so the beats on this are interesting, as trap & new school boom-bap sit right next to each other, DRAKE rocks them both with equal grace, of course what most separates DRAKE from his contemporaries is his ability to switch effortlessly from raps to balladry & back giving him a very unique sound... This Deluxe edition comes with 2 bonus tracks! Grab this if you like JAY-Z, KANYE, FRANK OCEAN, or the WEEKND.

Dylan nerds, your wishes have come true. "Blood on the Tracks" is one of Bob's best albums & the recording process for this was legendarily lengthy. The famous bootleg "Blood on the Tapes" has been floating around for years & now we get an official release of the complete session (in the deluxe box set version) & highlights from those sessions on the CD & 2LP set. We're not sure when Dylan made the choice to add drums to the songs but it's clear from this release that the original intent was a more traditional Dylan folk record. We love "Blood on the Tracks" but there's something about these more stripped-down versions that really fits with the vibe of the lyrics i.e. it being one of the most famous break-up records ever. RECOMMENDED.
